Introducing Hanna: Making a Difference at The Village Network
Hanna's summer internship revolves around working in a residential facility for kids, where she plays a vital role in helping them -- and their families -- create brighter futures. It's a summer well spent, making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Gaining Skills & Growing Professionally
As for the skills and experiences Hanna hopes to gain from her internship, she's eager to acquire hands-on experience in a residential facility setting. Hanna also wants to broaden her social work skills, particularly in the clinical aspect.
When we asked Hanna how she landed this amazing opportunity, she shared that she attended a career fair right here at UA! UA career fairs are excellent resources for finding internships and co-op opportunities.
We also asked Hanna what advice she would give to future Zips looking to make the most out of their summer internships or co-ops. "Choose the co-op field you're interested in joining!" It's essential to pursue opportunities that align with your passions and career goals, testing and learning what you enjoy doing in the real world.
Hannah is studying Social Work and Sociology at UA. Her chosen fields of study perfectly complement her internship, allowing her to apply her classroom knowledge in a practical setting. It's incredible to see our Zips making a real difference in the world.
We couldn't be prouder of Hanna for her commitment to helping others and pursuing her passion for social work. She's an inspiration to all of us, reminding us of the importance of empathy, compassion and the desire to create positive change.
