Halle's role as a Walmart Category Intern focuses on Smucker's pet products, allowing her to make a significant impact on the marketing strategies behind these cherished brands.

Halle's primary goal for this internship is to gain real-world marketing experience. She recognizes the value of hands-on learning, which complements her classroom studies. Category leadership, a fascinating field within marketing, is an area where Halle seeks to expand her knowledge. She hopes to gain a better understanding of the intricacies involved in this field, enhance her Circana/IRi knowledge and utilize her perspective to make a difference.
Based in Bentonville, Arkansas, Halle has been working directly with the Walmart team, immersing herself in the fast-paced world of marketing. Early on in the internship, Halle had numerous networking opportunities and gained valuable insights into the marketing industry, including the chance to visit the Walmart headquarters and personally meet the team she has been collaborating with remotely.
Halle's internship at The J.M. Smucker Company has provided her with valuable insights into the consumer packaged goods industry. Previously unfamiliar with category management, she is now captivated by its many facets. Halle sees category management as a perfect blend of her sales and marketing degrees, and she eagerly anticipates the knowledge she will gain this summer, shaping her future and career aspirations. Her ultimate goal is to secure employment with The J.M. Smucker Company after graduating from college next spring.

Halle firmly believes that stepping outside of her comfort zone has led to her most significant successes so far. Halle is pursuing a major in Sales Management and Marketing at The University of Akron, and she also holds a certificate in Healthcare Selling. Her multidisciplinary background equips her with a unique skill set that will undoubtedly propel her towards a successful career in the marketing industry.
